My First Cakes

I am by no means a professional, I am actually a college student majoring in biology, GO FIGURE.

It was practically overnight that I decided to start making cakes, and for that I'd like to thank my boyfriend for making me so mad one week that I decided to take up a hobby, (we're perfectly happy now, in the small tiny instance you possibly cared).

Its obvious from my pictures that I am not a professional, and so far I haven't made cakes for profit. I guess I am still practicing, so I guess my family is lucky enough to get to eat my experiments. So without further ado, MY EXPERIMENTS:

My first fondant cake, I only keep it because it was the first, and as a reminder that I have massive improvements ahead.
My Mother's Day cake: Buttercream is actually way easier and more delicious to use for cake decorating.
I did this one for my brother-in-laws birthday, I tried duplicating this from a cake I saw online. According to my boyfriend and my brother-in-law the cards I put in the hand were losing cards. It was too late to change them and I made my point, why fuss.

My nephews birthday cake, this is my favorite so far. I made everything except Spongebob and Patrick. I bought these on Amazon, I believe they are marshmallow lollipops.
For my cousins birthday.
